The Ukrainian Army will be ready for a major military counterattack on Russia in late June, Ukrainian President Olexey Aristovych said.
He said it would take time for Ukraine to take the weapons donated by Western allies, as well as to teach its troops to use them, according to the BBC.
Arestovych said Ukraine should fully arm at least some brigades because “then we can only go to offensive”.
The first “weapons that can stop the enemy will reach large numbers in late May or early June. This means that any counterattack is likely to occur only at the end of June or July”, he said.
