The Association of Kosovo Journalists has also written about their arrival.
We remember that Lyudmila Makey is the first journalist from Ukraine to be sheltered in Kosovo, Kosovo Journalists' Association (AGK) announced on April 17th.
Its arrival in Kosovo has been made under the “Gasers programme in Kosovo (Journalist in Residence in Kosovo)”.
The “Gasers programme in Residence in Kosovo” is a programme initiated by the European Centre for Press Freedom and Media (ECPMF) and the European Federation of Journalists (EFJ), which is supported financially by the Government of Kosovo. In March, the Kosovo government said it is ready to house 20 Ukrainian journalists and for that it allocated 150,000 euros and said it would house them until a six-month period.
According to AKG, this programme allows Ukrainian journalists monthly pay, adequate housing, working conditions, language and integration, as well as psycho-social assistance as necessary.
