More than 120 such units were engaged in the invasion of Ukraine, and the existing ones are that all of them are no longer willing to fight, the Defence Ministry said in a Twitter post. This figure is important as these forces make up most of the Russian Army's infantry.
Most tactical groups are thought to have 700-800 personnel, according to the British Institute of Security RUSSIA.
Some of Russia's most elite units, including the VDV Air Force, have suffered the highest <x0-level damage units”, the Defence Ministry added.
Russia will probably take years to rebuild these forces, Twitter says.
