The United States is continuing our strong support for Ukraine's courageous people, while they defend their country against the continued aggression of Russia,” President Joe Biden said.
“We are sending weapons and equipment that Congress has directly authorised to the first line of freedom”, he added, writes the BBC.
Beden has said that existing funds for Ukraine were “almost exhausted” and urged the US Congress to approve its proposed $33 billion bailout package for “strengthened Ukraine on the battlefield and at the negotiations table”.
An American official said the latest package of weapons was worth $150 million.
