“Occupants shot at more than 40 cities in the Donnetsk region and Luhansk, destroying or damaging 47 civilian countries, including 38 homes and a school. As a result of the bombing of five civilians died and 12 were injured”, Ukraine's Joint Force wrote on Facebook.
In the past month, Russians have had their focus on taking full control of the Donbas region.
Russia has sent thousands of troops to the region, attacking from all three sides in an effort to surround Ukrainian forces standing in the cities of Severodonnetsk and Lysychansk. Their fall would leave the whole province of Luhansk under Russian control - a major goal of the Kremlin war.
On Sunday, Luhansk Governor Serhiy Gaidai had accused Russia of adopting a “pace of burning ground” in its efforts to capture the town of Severodonetsk.
He warned that Russian forces have all destroyed, except for one bridge, over the Dones River, and said the city is in danger of secession.
