The Kosovo Women's Network during yesterday has submitted to the Ministry of Finance recommendations through which it has demanded the removal of an 18 per cent tax on menstrual products.
S. The GK has reiterated that this tax is discriminatory and additional burden on girls and women in Kosovo, while even calling it an obstacle to realising their right to affordable health care.
“RGK recommends changing Law No. 05L-037 for Added Value Tax, as well as Administrative Guide Mof-No. 03/2015 Law Implementation No. 05L-037 for the State Value Tax, so menstrual hygiene products will be released from VAT”.
And let's bring to the public sphere the fact that menstrual products are not a luxury, and they should never continue to be taxed as if they were these” says their announcement.
