18 children and three adults lost their lives Tuesday when the 18-year-old opened fire at an elementary school in Texas. The author of the attack also died.
The attack in Texas took place less than two weeks after an armed person opened fire at a supermarket in Buffalo, New York, killing 10 colored people. Officials have named that attack a hate crime.
