Kurti, in an interview for the Voice of America, has stressed that the report with Serbia is not normal, but wants to normalise it.
“Well, Serbia is left behind, since it does not accept the crimes it committed in Kosovo and refuses to recognise Kosovo's independence. The American president, Joe Biden, formulated the matter very well, has said we should have complete normalisation with a legally binding agreement, which is central to mutual recognition”.
“I am ready for mutual recognition, Serbia is not ready. No Kosovo instance is at all to blame for having no alleged success with Serbia. Kosovo is an independent and sovereign state, its being is not problematic. The report with Serbia is not normal, we want to normalize it, but to that end it is Serbia that needs to change”, Kurti has said.
