In Kosovo, the main manifestation was held in the Great Mosque “Sultan Mehmet Fatih” in Pristina.
In his message to the holiday, Kosovo mufti Naim Ternava called for peace worldwide. He said that there are conflicts in many countries that afflict innocent citizens.
We wish God there would be no turmoil anywhere in the world, peace, security and well-being for all”, Ternava said.
Fiter Bajrami's holiday follows the month of Ramadan, during which, according to Islamic faith, believers fast for 30 days, in sacrifice and devotion to God.
Ternava said this has been the first Ramadan in the past two years, which believers have marked without restrictive measures, which have imposed the pandemic and the coronary.
"God forbid we face restrictive measures that have been necessary, but have created a kind of distance between us”, Ternava said.
Fiter Bajrami and Kurban Bajrami, which marks two months and ten days after the first, are the most important holidays in Islam faith.
