The Council of Ministers in Italy has removed the excise on fuels by July 8th, as a relief move against the price hikes crisis.
Another decision by the Italian government was to lift the excise on methane gas and reduce the VAT by 5%.
The decision dates from May 3rd to July 8th, where rigorous controls will be organised against businessmen who abuse prices.
With the entry into force of this decision, Italians will buy on average gasoline and oil at 1.8 euros from over 2.2 euros ago, while significant price reductions will also be gas, which is used massively in Italy.
The Italian government's measures come after the price hikes due to the war in Ukraine, reducing the excise of fuel for large burosists, which automatically brings market reflection where beneficiaries are Italian citizens. /A2
