Shkrel, former head of Varya Pharmacicals, was sentenced to prison in 2018 after buying exclusive rights for the Daraprim antiparast medicine for $55m in 2015 and increased his price to $750 for fee from $1.50 for the tablet.
The company also blocked competitors from creating genetic versions.
The company's practices sparked widespread public anger at the time.
