Chairman of the Energy Regulatory Office Board ( ZRERE), Ymer Fejzullahu, told RTKli that ZERE is the institution that respects the laws. So far we have not accepted any ruling by the Court of Appeals, but when it comes we will respect the” decision, he told RTKlive.
Unlike the ZERE tariff indictment, the Democratic Party of Kosovo has made it, with the argument that the costing of electricity harms the country's citizens.
These tariffs had opened debate on energy management in Kosovo, following the creation of two energy investigative commissions. One proposed by the position which will have the goal of the energy investigation by 2006, and the other opposition will investigate energy situation management.
The Kosovo Energy Regulatory Office (ZRRE) had approved new electricity tariffs. According to the ZERE, the increase in bill prices would observe consumers spending over 800 kilowattts per hour within the month.
Tax consumers over 800 kilowatts per hour have the high fee of 12.5 cents per kilowatt and 5.9 cents per low fee. For consumers who spend up to 800 kilowatts per hour per month, the high rate is 7 cents, while the low one, 3 cents. The new tariffs have entered into force on February 9th and were scheduled to apply until March 31st, 2023. From October 1st to March 31st, the low electricity fee -- from 10:00 to 7:00 -- applies in Kosovo. And from April 1 to September 30, the low rate is between 11:00 and 0800.
