Experts for Russia: Putin faces coup if ordered nuclear attacks

Christo Grozev, a Russian policy expert, believes elites from Russian intelligence services GRU and FSB have greater opportunity to prove and bring Purin down because they know the truth of what is happening on the ground.
And these elites are already looking to find ways to get their families and property out of the country in preparation for Putin's fall, Grozev claims.
Speaking to Radio Liberty about what might spur the coup, Grozev said the moment for such a thing could come when Putin will order his generals to conduct nuclear attacks.
If Putin decides to order the use of nuclear weapons, he must certainly ensure that any chain of command will carry out his command. If one of them fails to obey Putin, it could be a signal of non-coordination. And maybe even Putin's physical death. Until he makes sure everyone is listed, he will not give his order”, the expert said.
Grozev believes such fears are driving Putin away from giving the order for a general mobilization of the Russian armed forces and the population.
Such an order would enable massive empowerment of troops in Ukraine, perhaps even turning the pace of the war in his favor.
But such order would also cause “a social explosion” among the ordinary Russians, because it would imply that the special military operation that Putin has declared is going to go according to plan -- is actually failing, Grozev says.
Without the use of nuclear weapons or the general mobilization, Russia almost has no chance of winning the war, the Russian policy connoisseur concludes. /Periscopi/
