“Although Kosovo has testified to the fulfillment of all conditions, visa liberalisation continues to be rejected by two EU member states France and the Netherlands. Visa liberalisation for all other Balkan countries, as well as Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia, has been realised for several years. It is time for even Kosovo citizens to have the opportunity to enter the EU without the need to apply for visas. Meanwhile, visa-free entry is possible for all EU citizens in Kosovo. This inequitable treatment has to end. Kosovo citizens should no longer be isolated. Therefore, we call for a decision on visa liberalisation for Kosovo at the EU's next summit in June 2022”, the initiative's rationale said.
