I am on my first visit to Kosovo today. Relations between Montenegro and Kosovo are excellent, open reports between our two countries. Such relations are possible because we must strengthen co-operation in the region. With particular attention, we are escorting to the Kosovo political scene. Montenegro is a member of NATO and together we are towards the EU. With particular attention we convey normalisation of relations with Serbia. We support political dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade, which could lead to a comprehensive agreement. This is the issue affecting the stability of the region. We show concern for this dialogue to continue. We've exchanged information on what is happening in Montenegro that affects regional perspective. We have changed the government one thing that I believe serves us in honor of”, Djukanovic said.
Now that Montenegro has new government, he hopes his country will preserve the leader's position in European integration.
We have agreed that the best choice is EU and NATO membership. It is the interest of the EU as well. EU membership would be an investment in peace and development. A tragedy in Ukraine has been the moment it woke us all up because the European value system was hit. The message is that all Balkan countries have the country in the EU”, Montenegro's president added further.
