Djukanovic sees the demarcation issue open: Abazoviqi may have been misunderstood

Montenegro's President Milo Djukanovic has spoken on the issue of demarcation of the border between his state and Kosovo. He says the agreement on demarcation has been signed but must be completed as soon as the demarcation of the common commission established with an agreement between former Presidents Hashim Thaci and Alexander [...]
“As I said. Montenegro has a serious state policy. An agreement between Kosovo and Montenegro for demarcation has been signed since the Berlin summit. I also want to remember that Montenegro is the only state of the former Yugoslavia to have signed two demarcation agreements. The one with Kosovo and Bosnia. We are open to open all the issues that affect us with our neighbors. I want to remember that President Vujanovic and Thaci reached an agreement on forming a joint commission that will deal with border demarcation in the technical sense of work”, he says.
It is also important that this commission implement some corrections that will contribute to better co-operation, better confidence and successful selection. . If you ask me if the case is chosen, I say yes. If you even ask me if we should finish this field process, which is not over, I guess. I think we should finish it as soon as we can”, the Djukanovic stho.
He also comments statements by Montenegrin Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic, who said this topic on him is closed. Djukanovic claims that there is certainly some “wrongdoing” and that Abazovic will assume the responsibilities stemming from previous agreements.
“As I said, the demarcation agreement is approved. After that, the technical part of the job continues. The joint commission will appear on the ground and should visit this border on time. If it turns out that some things have to be corrected and there is agreement between the two sides that will be made in terms of co-operation and friendship. We will prove that with this friendship, we will cooperate in many ways. Kosovo and Montenegro lead serious people, and we need solutions, not birth to new problems. New problems we do not need in this region”, he says at RTK.
I'm sure it's about a lack of precision or wrong interpretation. Anyone who does serious work in the Black Mountain is taking on earlier obligations. One of them is the 2015 demarcation agreement and then the co-operation agreement by President Vujanovic. I'm sure Abazovic will take on these responsibilities”, he concludes.
