The Kosovo Assembly has been nominated five candidates for a non-ekzekitive member at the BEC Board, from the panel formed for the selection of this non-ekzekuitive member.
The names proposed for this position are: Arta Hoxha, Esida Bujupi, Lulzim Ismajli, Nedzat Kryeziu and Nora Raraci, escorts the Economic Bulletin.
During the discussion, members of this Commission -- from the ranks of opposition parties -- demanded additional clarifications about the experience of the job of candidates, their performance, and about the reason why they are selected for this position.
Avdullah Hoti, deputy of the Democratic League of Kosovo, voiced his concern about one candidate for this position, saying the candidate in question has no ten-year work experience in financial institutions, as required under the BEC law for selection in these positions. In addition, he said the same is currently the foreign official of one Committee at the prime minister's office.
According to Hoti, to be elected to this position, according to the law, the candidate should not be part of any political party, government official or any of the ministries, the Economic Bulletin submits.
Meanwhile, the chairman of the Commission for Buxhet, Armend Muja, told commission members that all comments to him send to the Parliament administration about the reason why each candidate is selected for the position. He considered these demands valid, and the same must be considered.
Otherwise these five candidates will be sent to the Kosovo Assembly for voting, and only one of them will be selected. After the vote, the candidate, who wins the most votes, would also be sent to the country's president for approval.
Vote of these candidates in Kosovo Parliament, will take place by secret vote.
