Fire in a building in Switzerland

A large fire has erupted today in an industrial building in Sprittenbach near Zurich, police reported.

Seven people suffered smokes, four of which were hospitalized.

According to Arigau Canton police, the fire has fallen into a storage facility in which bitumen is stored, so the smoke is very black.

Fire service has gone to the scene, and a huge cloud of smoke has been seen at a distance of several miles.

Bitum is necessary for the production of asphalt. According to police spokesman Adrian Bieri, the fire quickly spread to other buildings. However, there are no residential buildings in the vicinity.

The back of the warehouse collapsed about two hours after the fire broke out. Other buildings were burned and destroyed, Tagesenzieger reports.
