According to Anadolu, Suez Canal authorities said that the international water route has marked revenues of $629m in April, an increase of 13.6 per cent from $53.6m in April last year, broadcasts Clankosova.tv.
In 2021, the Suez Canal registered the highest income in history, reaching $6.3 billion.
The transit tariffs on the Suez Canal have increased since last year, when the global trade movement also marked a huge increase.
Last year, sailing on the Suez Canal was interrupted from March 23rd to March 29th, when the giant shipping ship Ever Green returned to the canal for cross and blocked the water flow.
The circulation block by Ever Green caused the value of goods blocked in this channel to be $9.6 billion, where on March 28th (the day before the new sailing ship) waiting to pass were 369 ships.
