US President Joe Biden has said that the United States will co-operate closely with Finland and Sweden in the event of external aggression, which would threaten their national security while their apps are under consideration.
The president of the United States has said that membership of two states in NATO, “would further strengthen our defence co-operation” and bring benefits to the entire Alliance.
The US is the last state to provide support for the two countries in case of aggression. Several other countries have provided similar guarantees for Sweden and Finland.
In the past week, the United Kingdom agreed to a pact with two Nordic states, ahead of the decision to apply for NATO membership -- a decision that was made at the time of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
