Arrest warrant against former senior police superior allegedly hiding in Serbia

The Constitutional Court in Mitrovica has ordered the arrest and force association of former Kosovo Police chief Zelko Boyjic, who is suspected of criminal acts, “Using official position or authority” and “preventing proven or formal procedure”. It is learned that on the basis of the indictment, which was established against defendants on June 19, 2020, the event took place during 2015 in northern Mitrovica, while the anti-drug Unit was conducting an action aimed at catching large quantities of drugs from a Land Rover vehicle.
However, it is suspected that at the order of Lieutenant Zelko Bojic, certain crime men, they had managed to prevent the anti-drug Unit, thus unable to prevent police action.
Bojic has been away for more than two years since he left Kosovo, while reportedly hiding in Serbia.
We remember that in the U.S. Treasury Department communiqué, Zelko Bojq is identified as a member of the organised crime group, a group that was engaged in major bribery schemes with Kosovo and Serbian security officials, which facilitate illegal trafficking of goods, money, narcotics and weapons between Kosovo and Serbia. /Kosovo pres/
