The US Embassy in Kiev closed in mid-February due to concerns about Russian military actions.
A small group of American diplomats later moved to the western city of Ukraine, Lviv, before moving to Poland and returning to Ukraine.
However, on February 24th, the United States suspended diplomatic services in Lviv.
