Albania adds weapons, American anti-tank orders being used by Ukrainian military in war

These weapons are widely used by Ukrainian soldiers in the war against the Russian army.

On one Press releaseLockheed Martin adds that he received a message from the $309m Pentagon for the production of over 1,300 antitanks with funds provided by the recent US law for military aid to Ukraine, but also orders from several countries like Albania, Norway, Latvia and Thailand.

“Javelin Joint Venture is working hard to meet this demand increase, says Dave Pantano, vice president of Yavelin Joint Venture and director of Lockheed Martin Yavelin's programme.

Javelin's unique skills have proved to have made the difference in the determining moments of our users, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with the Army to offer this critical system of weapons”, Pontano added.

These rocket launchers are held on the shoulders by soldiers and weigh about 20kg. According to Lockheed Martin, they're a radius of up to four kilometers.

These weapons have become a crucial part of the war in Ukraine, widely used by local troops to ward off the Russian Army's attack in several areas, destroying enemy forces tanks.

So far, Ukraine has received more than 5,500 such rocket launchers, and allied countries have pledged to send even more.
