The MP of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Shemsedin Dresaj, at a news conference, said they have received a legislative initiative to clear off the criteria for pensioners to have 15 years of pre-war work experience in the State-funded Pension Scheme Law.
We are here today to inform you about the legal initiative we have taken as a parliamentary group, to remove a discrimination that has been becoming a contributing pensioners for years. It's about the criteria for 15 years of work experience before the war, as the condition that pensioners be recognised as pension contributions”, Dresaj said. According to Dresaj, this criterion is discriminatory because there are many pensioners that have been damaged.
With this legislative initiative that we have undertaken, Article 8 is changed, point 2 of the State-funded pension scheme law. Concretically, the discriminatory criteria required for pensioners to have 15 years of work experience before the war. This criterion is discriminated against because there are many pensioners who have been violent during the former system and do not achieve the experience of 15 years of work experience”, he said further. The AAK MP said non-recognition of the work schedule is a major injustice to the state of Kosovo. “Which has become pensioners, so it's time for this legislative initiative to support everyone, regardless of position. This is not the separate initiative of the AAK, but we are leaders to move on. The terms have been ripe for this discriminating article to be removed”, Dress said further.
