Energy Regulatory Office Board Chairman Ymer Fejzullahu has again defended the decision to expensive electricity, despite the Constitutional Court's decision on temporary measures.
He reported to the Commission for Economics, said that expensive price energy tariffs are in force, as there is a decided decision issued by the court and used the right to complain at the Court of Appeals.
We have made the right decision and are exploiting the right to complaint. The Constitutional Court's ruling is not of a definite form, any decision to be by the Court of Appeals we will respect”, he said.
Before deputies, Fejzuluu also presented the labour report for 2021.
The challenge, he said, has been the energy crisis and the expensive energy diaspora.
“Import prices, mid-October, November and December are fivefold. The star price for energy imports during 2020 was 51 euros, while in 2021, 119 euros. Consumers in Kosovo are growing, not because of the industry, but because of domestic consumption”, he added.
Asked by opposition deputies for energy losses in the north, Fejzullahu said they are making efforts to approach the Elektroserver licensing in the north.
