Indonesia is currently the leader of the G20 group, and the country's president, Yoko Widodo, has invited the two presidents to the summit of leaders expected to be held in November.
He has faced pressure from Western countries to exclude the Russian leader, but the Indonesian president has said he wants to unite the G20.
President Yokowi has recently talked with Zelensky and has rejected a request to send weapons to Ukraine, as Asian country's foreign policy tries to preserve strategic neutrality.
Ukraine is not a member of the G20, but leading countries have the right to invite guest seats.
An official from the Ukrainian government has said Zelenxy's participation would depend on the situation on the ground.
