Ukraine has warned that peace talks with Moscow are at risk of collapse.
Russian forces have turned their focus east and south of Ukraine, after failing to capture the capital in a nine-week attack, writes Skynews, broadcast Clankosova.tv.
Moscow invaded the city of Kherson in southern Ukraine, and its forces have mainly occupied the eastern port city of Marioupolis, where United Nations civilian evacuation efforts are under way.
Ukraine and Russia have not held face-to-face peace talks since March 29th, and the atmosphere has been exasperated on Ukraine's allegations that Russian troops have committed atrocities.
Moscow has denied the claims.
Ukraine's president, Volodymyr Zelensky, voiced optimism about the possibility of continuing negotiations with Russia.
The risks of the talks ending are high because of what they (russ) have left behind them, the impression that they have a book of human killing games,” he said.
