Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said on Thursday, April 7th that fighting for the Donba region with Russian forces would resemble World War II.
He has made these statements from NATO headquarters in Brussels, following the meeting he held with Alliance Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
NATO has pledged to increase support for Ukraine, which is facing Russian attacks on February 24th.
Kuleba has said help is necessary “in the days, not the weeks” following.
I'll remind you of World War II, with a major operation... including thousands of tanks, armed equipment, aircraft, artillery”, said Cuba for fighting in Donbas.
Russia has its own plan, we have tone and the outcome of this war will be put on the battlefield”, he added.
Donbas is known as the area of coal and steel production in Ukraine.
It includes eastern Ukraine regions Donjeck and Luhansk.
Russia-backed Separatists have declared these regions as “Republic”.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has recognised the independence of these territories a few days before the start of the Ukraine invasion.
Putin has ordered the <x0 special” operation to demilitarize Ukraine.
The Kremlin's action has stirred anger and has been condemned in many parts of the world.
The United States and its allies have responded with severe sanctions against Moscow.
