Ukraine's General Staff in a statement said 15 residential areas were completely freed from Russian occupants, until Russian forces have withdrawn from 13 areas and those areas have been taken over again.
A total of 28 provinces have been released, most of which are in the regions of Kiev and Chernihivi in the last 24 hours, the report said.
The report also says Ukraine's forces are focused on taking control of Marioupoli, one of the provinces where civilian evacuation is still continuing.
Ukraine's Armed Forces on Monday confirmed that the town of Irpin near Kiev has been freed from Russian occupants.
Russia's fight against Russia, which has begun on 24 February, has faced major international condemnation -- with the European Union, the United States and the United Kingdom -- among many states that have imposed sanctions.
