Will Smith makes the unexpected decision for “Oscars”, after he slaps stand-up stand-by Chris Rock.

Ademia director David Rubin said he has accepted Smith's resignation and will proceed with disciplinary procedures.

So far there are few who have been expelled from Oscars: Harvey Weinstein, Bill Cosb and Roman Poland. Still unclear is what disciplinary measures the Academy will take against Smith.

The Oscars Academy has said that the proceedings will continue against Smith, leaving open the possibility of him receiving the Oscar Award, even though this is said to be unlikely to happen and there is a possibility that he will not be allowed to attend the upcoming Oscar ceremonies. /rel
