The winner of the Nobel Peace Prize from Russia, journalist Dmitry Muratov, has said he was attacked red during a train trip to Moscow, writes the BBC, past Periscopi.
“Sytes are burning me so much”, said liberal newspaper editor Novaya Gazeta, who has stopped acting after warnings from Moscow due to her reporting on the Russian-Ukrainian war.
The attacker who was a man had shouted: “Muratov, this is for our boys”, the journalist suggests.
Novaya Gazeta is known as very critical of Russian authorities.
Last month, the newspaper reported that it would suspend the printing and online activity “until the end of special military operation” in Ukraine”- the official notion that media regulator Roskomnadzor says it must be used by the country's portals. Anyone describing Russia's actions as “war” faces consequences and severe penalties.
