The largest Russian battleship has erupted and drowned after the crew left the ship desperately following an attack on Ukraine's land missiles.
The Russian Defence Ministry confirmed that “Moskva” suffered significant “damage since “broke out a” fire, but said it was still investigating the cause of the explosion.
Ukrainian officials on Thursday claimed that the Russian Black Sea fleet's main ship was hit by two rockets against R-360 Neptun-based ships, causing it to explode and sink near Odessa.
Russian media reported that 500 members of the ship's crew were evacuated after ammunition on board accidentally exploded.
Unconfirmed reports suggested that the Russian ship's war was distracted by a Ukrainian fears in a targeted missile attack and was unable to redirect its defence on time. /abcnews.al/
