The prime minister in the quality of the literary critic shows where the poet Asdren belongs

“Andren would be enough poetry “hyn of the flag” to line up in the pleade of prominent writers of our National Renaissance. A poem that reduced the ideas of our fair fight for freedom of independence”, Prime Minister Albin Kurti said in the speech of opening cultural manifestations with the case of the 50th anniversary of native and poet Alexander Stavre Drenova, Asdren.

Prime Minister Kurti said that we sing hymn verses whenever the flag rises and waves, at solemn commemorations, and at festive gatherings. He stressed that in Kosovo we especially sing them for almost every day during the spring season, when we remember the martyrs of the agely war for the liberation of Kosovo in 1998-1999. He's been singing to Adam Yasar with his family at the moment of his final confrontation with the enemy. They have pronounced the martyrs and heroes of the nation, so they are unsurpassed by our national memory and will remain such as long as our nation and country lives, he said.

Asdren's words were the motive for manifesto “Us is Asdren” organised by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports of the Republic of Kosovo and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Albania.

Under the artistic direction of the Grand Master, Joseph Minga, prominent artists from Albania and Kosovo, honoured the poet's memory with their performances at the Kosovo National Theatre.

With the participation of the camera choir “Dardanica”, under the direction of Edon Ramadani, orchestral formation under the direction of Visar Kuci, Juliete Scheremen, Artan Bakija, Zamira Kita, Ligareq Riza, Cristian Korvenschi, the Polish Group of Dresnow Men, as well as with interviews of personalities and numerous documentary images, was reminded and confessed the life of one of the most important figures in Albanian culture. /Periscopi/
