Although the country's institutions are keeping it from “to” the amount collected in the security fund, someone who knows this area is saying there is information that there was huge financial support in this fund.

General Ramadan Qehaja said even pensioners are contributing to this fund with the goal of protecting the territory of the Republic of Kosovo.

I have unofficial information that people are paying, and even pensioners have paid for the wish that we be willing to protect our territory. We are not preparing for offensive tasks because we don't have that goal, and we don't have the opportunity for it, but for self-preservation, people are interested”, he said.

As long as the fund is still unknown, Qehaja says it is a positive step towards establishing KSF combat readiness.

The Kosovo government has established the Security Fund, in which different citizens and donors can contribute.

The budget the Kosovo Government has allocated for KSF in 2022 totals the value of over 100m euros.

Since 2018, The KSF is in the process of transforming itself into the military. This process is said to last ten years.
