According to Kurti, Greece's recognition could also bring new recognitions from other countries.
“We have good communication and co-operation with Greece, between the people of Kosovo and Greece, between the two governments. It's just a bridge we have to cross. It is time for Greece to recognise Kosovo. Before that and especially after recognition, we can boost economic co-operation and trade exchange. Kurti was also asked about the delay in visa liberalisation by the European Union for Kosovo citizens.
The “people are frustrated by the delay, and I myself have been critical, but we have no alternative. Our approach is membership in the European Union”.
As another objective of its government, Kurti has said it is also NATO membership.
“Hopefully we can contribute to the safety of the continent by becoming a NATO member”, Kurti, who once again condemned Russia's actions on Ukraine, has declared.
