Kamberi: Belgrade cannot lean east, too dependent on West

Serbia's “Western pressure on Serbia to set its own positions, to take the right path and avoid the balance it has been implementing for years and successfully, with Beijing, Moscow, Washington and Brussels. Serbia will have to be eventually oriented on one side. Serbia, which despite being nostalgic to Russia, despite strategic interests with Russia, finds it difficult to take the east side, while its investments, to large extent, depend on EU investments”, Kamberi said at A2 CNN.
“If Serbia received direct support of Russia, it could be a foundation that Moscow could use to destabilise the Balkans. However, the situation is not that simple, despite historical speculation with Russia, Serbia is very dependent on the West. It is surrounded by NATO and it is not Serbia that guarantees regional stability, it is NATO's presence everywhere that will not allow a Serbia to Vucic or anyone else to destabilise the Balkans”, Kamberi said.
The MP from Bujanovac said he does not expect much change after the April 3rd elections in Serbian politics.
Meanwhile, it has also talked about Albanian expectations in the Presevo Valley.
The past “we have had three parliamentary mandates, and in this election, at the very least, it is to preserve these 3 countries”, Kamberi said.
