The growth of inflation is explained by the rise in consumer and service prices.
According to the AKS, the largest price hike is noted in electricity bills by 13 percent, followed by gas by 11.4 per cent. Oils and food fats have increased by 11.3 percent, alcoholic beverages for 5.9 percent, while clothing for 4.9 percent was dried up in the harmonised consumer price index.
Prices on the Kosovo market have marked increases since the launch of Ukraine's Russian invasion on 24 February. The price hikes have contributed to the ban on exports of basic products from the countries of the region.
Kosovo imports almost all kinds of products from countries in the region and Europe.
According to AKS data, import of goods in January this year has seized the value of 338.1m euros, while export has been worth 64.2m euros./ P ERISCOPI/
