US to impose additional sanctions on Russia this week

“You can expect further sanctions reports this week. We are co-ordinating with our allies and partners what exactly the parameters of this will be, but yes, this week we will have additional elements of economic pressure to announce,” Sullivan told CNN during the press conference at the White House.
Responding to recent images of atrocities allegedly committed by Russian forces in Bucha, US President Joe Biden told reporters early Monday that he “is demanding more sanctions” against Russia and will announce them soon.
Beden did not label the killings as genocide, but said they were a war crime, demanding that a trial be held against Russian President Vladimir Putin.
