Eractiv” writes that Albania and Northern Macedonia will get the green light from the EU in June.
However, other sources say that following Ukraine's bid to join the EU, Albania and Northern Macedonia will receive the green light in June.
Among other things, this foreign media also recalls Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama's statement on the possibility that Albania will seek secession from Northern Macedonia and push ahead with negotiations for EU membership on its own.
Albania's bid to join the union has been linked to its neighbour, northern Macedonia.
While both countries have met the requirements on paper, Bulgaria has vetoed the latter on historical and human rights issues.
“Albania can no longer expect the two neighbours to resolve their quarrel. Our course in that direction will completely change”, Rama said in Tirana on Thursday, writes Euractiv.
