Britain: Infrastructure damage to Ukraine, obstacle to delivering aid

“Road infrastructure in conflict, in the affected areas of Ukraine, has suffered major damage”, Britain's Defence Ministry said through a Twitter post on 16 April.
Russian “Socies have exacerbated the situation by destroying bridges, placing land mines and leaving military cars along key roads, while withdrawing from Ukraine's north”, this minister added.
This minister said that the destruction of river crossing in and around Chernihivi, for example, has left only one bridge for citizens who want to cross the Desna River.
“Detailing Ukraine's transport infrastructure now presents an important challenge in sending humanitarian aid to areas previously occupied by Russia”, the United Kingdom Defence Ministry said.
Russia has withdrawn from the northern areas of Ukraine and has said it will focus on eastern Ukrainian regions after beginning its conquest on February 24th. / REL
