On the other hand, Belarus's president further complicated the situation, demanding that his country be involved in negotiations.
Talks between Russia and Ukraine began four days after Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered his troops to enter Ukraine with 24 records.
Several rounds have been kept face-to-face and some online, prompting connoisseurs to be a little optimistic about their progress.
But the talks have been constantly hampered by events from the ground in Ukraine, with recently the atrocities reported by Russian forces in Butka.
The Ukraine side has not yet responded to Lavrov's claims. /Periscope
