Albania among the benefits of US military aid

On Monday, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin announced that of $713m in military aid, about 322 million have been allocated to Ukraine itself, while $400m new foreign military financing has been allocated to 15 other countries in Central and Eastern Europe, as well as in the Balkans.
The spokesman told Voice of America that many will help NATO allies meet their reserves affected by donations to Ukraine.
Support of more than $32 million for Ukraine and will further enhance its ability to defend itself in the ongoing fight with Russia. This investment will provide support to a wide range of possibilities for Ukraine, including standard weapons systems produced outside NATO alliance, to help Ukraine's Armed Forces pass to long-range NATO systems, such as artillery, and to support air defence capabilities.
Georgia, the spokesman said, would also receive $35m in funding for equipping an advanced system of field artillery tactical data and cyber defence opportunities.
The remaining $713m package will provide protection, training and services to the European region, including Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Montenegro, northern Macedonia, Romania and Slovenia.
The Czech Republic will also benefit from this amount and provide additional support to Bosnia and Herzegovina under the Russian Anti-infectal Fund. / VoA/
