This town's mayor, Pavlo Kyrylenko, added that another 109 people were injured in the attack.
“Those with minor injuries have been released to go home, seriously injured persons are being transported to safe regions, and is being offered needed assistance”, he said.
The attack took place until thousands of Ukrainians, mostly women and children, were waiting for a train to take them west, writes BBC, broadcast Clankosova.tv.
Russia has denied allegations it was responsible for the attack. Instead, it suggests that the missiles were Ukraine's.
