The European Union and I hope Norway should stop Russian ships from using European ports as long as they block our” ports, Zelensky said through a video connection from Ukraine.
He added that Ukraine and Norway, after Russia's second largest gas exporter, have started negotiations on supplying 5 billion cubic metres of gas for next winter.
“You can make a crucial contribution to Europe's energy security by providing the necessary resources for both European Union countries and Ukraine,” he said.
We have already launched a dialogue on stocks of about 5 billion cubic metres for the next heating season. I hope this is the basis of our long-term cooperation in this area of”, he added.
The Nordic country exported 113.2 billion cubic metres of gas last year.
