This meeting has discussed Russian aggression in Ukraine and the new political situation created. As the prime minister's media office reports, there has been a discussion of the need for increased care for the region.
Prime Minister Kurti has said that Kosovo has joined European and US sanctions against Russia, as well as has expressed willingness to accept and enable working conditions for 20 Ukrainian journalists, as well as readiness for housing of up to 5,000 refugees from Ukraine.
Kurti has further stressed that the Government of the Republic of Kosovo continues to remain committed to working together with allies to contribute to lasting peace, long-term stability and regional and global security.
While Randall has expressed gratitude for the help offered by the Government of the Republic of Kosovo on the humanitarian issue of housing of Afghan citizens displaced by the conflict in Afghanistan, as well as in the fight against terrorism.
On this issue, Prime Minister Kurti stressed the dimension of the alliance and partnership with the United States, and said Kosovo and its people are always ready to respond to the call for help from the United States.
The commitment to further harmonisation between Kosovo and the United States was also discussed during the meeting.
