Republika Srpska Deputy Speaker Glauk Konjufca, accompanied by Deputy Speaker Saranda Boguyevci and cabinet advisers, hosted today's Kosovo rapporteur for the European Parliament, Violet von Cremon Taubadel, accompanied by associates and chief of the EU Office in Kosovo, Thomas Szuniog.
Chairman Konjufca expressed gratitude for Eurodeputes' contribution to von Cromon as a powerful voice to the EP for Kosovo's European perspective and continued EU support. He also stressed that Kosovo has already met all previous criteria for visa liberalisation, calling on EU institutions to complete the process as soon as possible and free movement for the citizens of our country.
The security situation in the Western Balkans in the face of developments in Ukraine was one of the topics of discussion at the Konjufca chairmanial meeting with the eurodeputen von Cromon”, the Parliament's announcement reported.
In this context, the Speaker of the Parliament drew attention that the Republic of Kosovo has consistently witnessed the alignment side-by-south and uncomfortable commitment to common Euro-Atlantic values. According to him, the accelerated membership of Kosovo in the EU and NATO would serve not only regional and European security but also global ones, seriously jeopardised by Ukraine's non-provocational Russian invasion.
Eurodeputa von Cromon confirmed her commitment to helping Kosovo in the visa liberalisation process, integration into the European Union family and Euro-Atlantic structures.
