Telekom submits request for launching misuse investigations in Z-Mobile case

According to Telekom, this demand has been initiated against persons, senior company and private persons officials, who, according to them, have been damaging the company to over 100m euros in total.
“This requirement has been initiated against persons, senior officials of the company and private persons who, by linking harmful contracts, hidden and manipulated data and evidence, presented false statements, with their actions and inactions, have damaged Kosovo Telekom at different times and have thus committed penal acts punishable under the Penal Code of the Republic of Kosovo”, the Telekom report said.
The same “have initiated, drafted, signed, and during the time of contract implementation, no action has been taken to prevent or even conceal the damage that was causing contracts, thus enabling irreparable damage to Telekom, as well as damage to the budget of the Republic of Kosovo. Also, from the above, it is not ruled out that Kosovo Telecom officials in various forms may have illegally benefited from the harmful contract for Kosovo Telecom, which caused the total damage of over 100m euros”, the report follows.
The company stresses that the demand for the beginning of the investigations has been submitted because there are allegations of criminal acts which, according to the Kosovo Criminal Code, are followed according to official duty.
“As a result, the same have caused losses to Kosovo Telekom and the Republic of Kosovo budget: Commercial losses from contract implementation, estimated at around 102m euros; Direct losses as a result of the failure to implement the contract worth about 51.4m euros (Arbitations Decisions); The losses from the signing of the 2017 agreement; and the losses of the state budget of the Republic of Kosovo, worth about 16.2m euros, as a result of the avoidance of the Dardan.net LLC”, Telekom concludes.
