He honoured Kiev's forces and pledged to continue supporting them “to support the right to self-defense sanctioned in the UN Charter”.
Stoltenberg further praised Germany for its military and humanitarian support of Ukraine, and while noting that “NATO has a responsibility to prevent this war from escalating further”, it warned members of the security bloc that “cannot get peace and security as good as”.
”Day, defence ministers began to consider what we must do to strengthen our defence and prevention for a longer term. This will require large increases in defence investments,” Stoltenberg said. Meanwhile, Scholz said Germany has increased funds for its armed forces to secure “NATO is able to fulfil its duties and mandate”.
