Prime Minister Albin Kurti said his word in the Assembly regarding the special Law that envisions same-sex marriages.
Kurti said that the Civil Code does not foresee such a thing, but that it envisions procedures for a special Law.
Prime Minister Kurti's words to this part:
“Ris is the ban on early marriages. This arrangement is in full compliance with international standards. Marriage age grows to 18.
Significantly, there have been misunderstandings, records of social communities of people with equal sex.
After all, human rights are the rights of all humans, of every person because every human is a creature of God and nature. Our Constitution and the practices of the Court of Human Rights say this.
The registration of the civil communities of people with equal sex, at Article 1138, is the possibility that these persons will be registered as civil communities.
The code doesn't regulate the conditions and procedure for this new institute, but in an efficient way it has determined that in the future it can be adjusted to special Laws.
This is in accordance with the Constitution, which does not allow any kind of discrimination, including that on the basis of gender.
The code doesn't regulate same-sex marriage. This contrasts with the registered civil community, as this allows only coexistence and not other forms of family function”./Periscopi
