And by price hikes, according to ECCO, only 7% of consumers have been affected.
“About 93 percent of consumers on the basis of tests KESCO made for the February bills have paid only with old tariffs. So they haven't been infected at all with new electricity tariffs. This occurred after the ZERE's approval, in February 9th bills, the rating began from 0kWh on February 9th, and this has caused 93% of consumers not to be affected by new prices, because consumers have not exceeded 800kWh, which has been counted with old tariffs, before the date February 9th”, says the report.
From KESCO, citizens have been urged to save because according to them, the entire bill will be counted according to new tariffs.
But it has already started periods when new tariffs are in place, at new prices. It is known that now, for all consumers of the block-tarifa environment, it starts from spending over 800kWh. Under such circumstances, we urge consumers to take maximum care of spending control, since spending on this amount is markedly higher. Regarding the application of new tariffs and helping consumers not pass the bloc's threshold, K The ESCO will also hold an awareness campaign launching this month”, the announcement said further.

Electricity prices have increased significantly as a result of their increase in international bells, where by the end of the year they were marked up to tenfold, compared to the same period in the preceding years. Neither could Kosovo, since it is an importative country, where a considerable amount of electricity should be secured from import during the winter period, when even demand in Europe is higher and therefore the price.
The use of electricity efficiently and alternative forms of heating reduces dependence on import and therefore the impact of global prices on us.
